The Philadelphia Museum of Art is reopening its doors after being closed for nearly six months because of the coronavirus pandemic. Sept 6 will be the big day, with the museum offering pay-what-you-wish admission to celebrate the occasion.

There will be new protocols in place to help limit the risk of spreading of COVID-19. Among them will be a reduced visitor capacity, timed general admission and the requirement for every guest over the age of 2 years old to wear a mask at all times. Visitors will also have their temperatures checked at the door via a digital scanner. The museum has also installed hand sanitizer stations throughout the building and enhanced its sanitation procedures. The museum’s dining services will also not be available right away. Read More
