Barbara Capozzi, Esq.
President
Barbara Capozzi graduated from Villanova University and Temple Law School. She worked as attorney for City, PHA and private family law attorney. Barbara joined her father in her grandfather’s real estate business, which she continued into the 21st century. She has since merged with Keller Williams and relocated to 3310 South 20th Street, specializing in sales & rentals in Packer Park, Reserve, Villas, Regency (developed and originally sold by Barbara) and our newest neighbor, Siena Place. Barbara ran for City Council – Second District – in 2011, and lost by 38 votes, in the closest election in Philadelphia History. Unfortunately, she lost a valuable opportunity to better serve neighbors and the City of Philadelphia. In In 1991, Judge Alex Bonavitacola recruited Barbara to join the PPCA. She is an advocate for those who cannot or chose not to speak for themselves. She continues to work in varying avenues through PPCA (Packer Park Civic Assoc.), SCSSD (Sports Complex Special Services District), BIA (Building Industry Assoc.), DW (Development Workshop), GPAR (Greater Philadelphia Assoc. of Realtors), HAPCO (Housing Assoc. Philadelphia County), PCC (Philadelphia Crosstown Coalition), REC (Real Estate Coalition) and Friends of FDR Park.
Continuing her father’s vision, she aims to do everything to ensure that Packer Park remains The Premier Community in the City. Barbara spends countless hours to attend monthly meetings for civic, community and work to support her vision. Packer Park is legendary due to resident safety, owner pride, green space, parking, strong community advocates and accessibility. She is proud that through decades it has remained that way due to the civic association. In Barbara’s spare time she continues to take educational classes in real estate, law and self-improvement. Her favorite escape is to enjoy fresh air at FDR Park and cool sea breezes at the shore.

John Nacchio
Board Member
I am a native Philadelphian, born and raised in South Philly, as you would be able to tell from my favorite interests in food, culture, and my Philly “accent.” I went to Fel School, Thomas Junior High and South Philadelphia High and moved to Packer Park to raise my family and I have served on the PPCA Board for nearly 20 years. Graduating College as an MBA, I pursued a span of years in a professional career in government where I achieved the top executive positions in 5 different major divisions under the Office of Philadelphia’s Director of Finance. During that time, I was fortunate to introduce, initiate and lead innovative progressive practices benefiting internal operations and the lives of fellow citizens. Lately, I have been writing articles published online, social media and in print to express my active passion for both the rich history and the future of our neighborhood. I love Philadelphia and enjoy being involved in the mix.
